Pacifier Please!
Posted by James Dough on August 1, 2011That huge sucking sound occurring right now in Washington DC is the financial pacifier being yanked right out of the mouth of President Barack "I want my debt ceiling raised" Obama. Obama was accustomed to the 111th Congress keeping his socialist pacifier well lubricated with the money of US taxpayers for all of his past desires. The 112th Congress, while not as budget fiesty as they need to be, are not rubber stamping Obama's spending needs.
Obama can't get the deal he wants with Republicans and Democrats are feeling uneasy about the default talks. Obama wants his debt ceiling raised his way or no way! This coming from a man who has the financial intellectual capacity of a gnat and the negotiation skills of a bad case of hemorriods.
According the Charles Krauthammer, Obama is "…sanctimonious, demagogic, self-righteous and arrogant," in this negotiation from his remarks to Fox News: http://dailycaller.com/2011/07/22/krauthammer-this-is-obama-at-his-most-sanctimonious-demagogic-self-righteous-and-arrogant/. Yet Krauthammer is only hitting the tip of the iceberg – Obama is throwing a tantrum because he cannot get his way. Obama wants to only sign a temporary ceiling increase to avoid default and drag the process out through next spring during the primaries. I am quite sure behind closed doors Obama is cussing, spitting, rolling on the floor and holding his breath until Michele comes to comfort him. Lord that is an ugly vision…..
Rest assure there will be no US default. An 11th hour deal will be worked, temporary or permanent, that will pay the bills. However, Obama better go buy an all day sucker to pacify his lust for taxpayer dollars. The road only gets bumpier as it gets closer to November 2012.
